BWSF/NCAA Next Step Forum 2010
06-Jul-2010Professional Development Forum for Minority Women Interested in Sport Careers
Ever wonder how you could become an intercollegiate coach or sport administrator? If so, you should have attended the Black Women in Sport Foundation’s 2010 Next Step Women of Color Mini-Forum.
The forum, held at Temple University in Philadelphia on June 16th, featured inspirational presentations by women of color currently working in college sports. Attendees were treated to dynamic discussions on breaking into the sport industry, finding mentors, and overcoming challenges. The forum also served as an incredible networking opportunity.
The program was sponsored in part by the NCAA Division of Diversity and Inclusion. The goal of these forums is to increase the proportion of women of color in collegiate head coaching and athletic administration positions at Division I NCAA institutions.
