BWSF Offers Fencing & Lacrosse After School Programming at GLA

[School Year 2025 – 2026] Black Women in Sport Foundation is excited to continue offering fencing and lacrosse after school programming for the Global Leadership Academy Future Leaders 21st Century Program. Our high caliber coaching roster boasts Master of Epee Fencer Coach D.C. Pixie Roane and distinguished Temple University Fencing Alumni and Eyekonz Sports League coaching for lacrosse.

Friday Fencing can accept up to 15 scholars from grades 6 th through 8th.

Saturday Lacrosse can accept up to 25 scholars from grades kindergarten through 2nd grades and an additional 25 scholars from grades 3rd through 5th.

GLA families had the opportunity to pre-register students for BWSF Fencing or Lacrosse after school programs during the Back to School Night at Global Leadership Academy West, 4601 W. Girard Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19131. During the Back to School event, it was great networking and meeting friends--both old and new. Coach Pixie and Fencing Alumna Marielle Luke shared program information with the families and conducted fencing demos with the youth in attendance.

BWSF wishes the GLA Community a happy school year!
