Dr. Clementine "Tina" Sloan Green Receives RAD Award Athlete of the Year 2025

The Philadelphia Citizen RAD Awards 2025

[7/30/2025] Dr. Clementine “Tina” Sloan Green received The Philadelphia Citizen RAD Award for Athlete of the Year. When asked about receiving the award last night, Dr. Tina Sloan Green had the following to say, “I was surprised! God works in mysterious ways.”

Although Dr. Sloan Green did not prepare a speech, she did want to make sure she got two points across:

·        Over 30 years ago, she and the BWSF co-founders didn’t think the Foundation would be necessary so many decades later. Dr. Sloan Green said, “We need Black Women in Sport Foundation (BWSF) now more than ever. “

·        I was happy to see so many young people (at the event). My message to them is, “You’ve got to carry the torch!”

“I am so glad so glad I was given the opportunity--for some reason--to be there. “

Dr. Tina Sloan Green and Husband Frank Green, Jr., enjoyed the Rad Awards Ceremony which consisted of cocktails, mocktails and tasty bites to keep you cool and fueled all night. Guests came dressed in their most festive cocktail attire. The Greens joined in the fun of the photo booth to capture their best angle with fellow Rad partygoers and a DJ spinning all night. Congratulations to all of the nominees and winners!
